I was just reading this article about the impact of Facebook on society and I thought it was pretty interesting. It talks about the effects of Facebook on children and teens. The article also claims that there is a false sense of privacy online and, to a certain extent, I agree. Based on what they post online, “students have been expelled from high schools and colleges” as well as “denied acceptances to intern programs, admission to independent high schools, colleges, and jobs”. I think sometimes people tend to forget that what they post online can be seen by anyone and has the possibility to affect their lives outside of Facebook.
