Before reading “Define Gender Gap? Look Up Wikipedia’s Contributor List”, I never realized how much men dominate the internet world. When I first started reading the article, honestly, I didn’t quite understand what the problem was. However as I continued reading, I realized how little women contribute to the internet. I think it’s interesting how evident the male domination is. Never before had I recognized how little articles there are on topics that are more interesting to women. Considering contributors to Wikipedia can hide their identity, I wonder why women feel intimidated by men on the site. Hopefully though this will change in the future.
